Sony Testing New Android UI!

With every major manufacturer transitioning to a near stock android experience, Sony is being no exception. Some examples being that of Samsung which with the launch of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, scaled down the highly bloated version of their Touchwiz UI. Along with Korean Manufacturer, many smaller and newer companies are also preferring Vanilla Android Experience with the example being that of Oneplus with their Oxygen OS.

Sony is yet to launch the Android 5.1 version on their Xperia line of smartphones. Starting this month, the Japanese Giant is previewing its first builds on the new 'Scaled Down' Version of the Xperia UI. Although the Xperia UI is neither sluggish nor highly bloated like that of the previous Touchwiz, but still the company is making a visual overhaul to the Sony's Custom Android Experience.

SONY CHANGING THE XPERIA UI!

The preview builds are only stating for Sweden (Nobody knows Why?) and only 500 people who own the Z3 will have the privileged opportunity of testing the new UI. The rollout starts on Monday and ceases on 13th September being quite a huge amount of time.

The new UI will have most of the native Sony apps, along with some big Google apps like that of Google+ and Maps. Sony will retain the Camera app obviously being the best camera module makers of the world. Sony also revealed more of it by showing 2 screenshots.

And obviously we will try to get my hands on the new UI and tell you guys more about it. As you may know that everything on the Internet is Everyone's.

Apple's Newest - Ipod Touch 6th Generation (2015)

After the decline of Ipod Touch's sales, no one thought that Apple Inc. would care to refresh it again in 2015 making the 5th Generation end of the line. With high end flagships like the Oneplus One and Moto X coming at the same prices, who would care to buy the Ipod Touch - basically being an Iphone will no call ability?

Apple launched the Ipod Touch line up in 2007, with it being one of the most sold handheld media device for the past couple of years.

WELL THE IPOD TOUCH IS BACK!

Apple recently refreshed the line with a pretty good specs for a media device being :-
  • A8 chip with M8 motion coprocessor
  • 4 inch display - 1136-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi
  • 1 Gb of RAM
  • 8 MP iSight camera with f/2.4
  • IOS 8
We all know that Apple devices very well work with 1 GB of RAM even though the world might be moving on 4GB's or probably more. In today's world, this new Ipod Touch can be compared with Nintendo's 3DS being a gaming device for kids and music and media device for all ages. And for android users, it might work as revertible OS device, ones who would occasionally like the look and feel of the Apple Devices.

Well, I personally don't think that the Ipod will fare like the way it had been but being on the same line, Apple might not be targeting it on the adults or the kids for now. It might have some future prospects for the Same.

I don't know why the Cupertino Company have reasoned the Ipod's camera with that of the Iphone 5's but they have sure have made it future proof by adding the latest SoC found in Iphone 6. Lets see what's going to happen with the 6th generation now in market with prices starting at $199 (16Gb) and can be bought from the manufacturers site.

Unbreakable! Un - hackable! The Turing Phone

In the era of slim phones mainly that from Apple and Samsung, there are always companies such as Turing Robotics and Sharp which think differently on what consumers want. If you remember, Last year in 2014, Sharp launched its first smartphone - The Sharp Aquos Crystal with a very unique design and a descent line of specs capable of performing multitasking at ease. Here we are again in 2015 with a new company - Turing Robotics which focuses on security than Just Slimness.

Turing Robotics Industries led by CEO SYL Chao says,' We're walking into cipher phone age.' Keeping Security, Durability and fashion above all else is what the company doing right now. Just like the Aquos Crystal, The Turing phone also boasts a descent range of specs :-
  •  2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 chip
  • 5.5-inch, 1080p display
  • 13-megapixel camera
  • non-removable 3,000mAh battery
  • integrated NFC chip
Apart from these, the looks of the phone is pretty unique with no headphone jack or a USB connector rather deploying a Apple's MagSafe connector's rival. The device is Shock and Waterproof thanks to the nano-coating on all its components. The phone is itself built using 'Liquid Morphium which is claimed to be harder than Steel or Titanium probably to avoid 'Bendgate' :P

In yet another far out, strange idea, the phone comes with a built-in cryptocurrency called Turing coin. Chao says the device could appreciate in value if it somehow catches on. That sounds like a dream, which is maybe something you can say about this entire project. Is anyone actually going to buy this thing?

MADE FROM LIQUID MORPHIUM

The Turing phone is powered by a custom interface made by the manufacturer itself on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop. By the looks of it, the exteriors are pretty dope looking but the UI is not what a consumer might want. All we know is that the UI is not final and many of us will definitely go for another Launcher.

Starting from July 31st for $610 (16GB), $740 (64GB), or $870 (128GB) one can pre order the device from the manufacturers website.

What do you think of the Turing Phone. Mention in the comments below.!

Oneplus 2 Rumour Round-up!

2, Oneplus 2, the much awaited flagship killer is around the corner. The company's earlier flagship was also the flagship killer of 2014, standing up to its name.

Last year, Oneplus an unknown company shook the market by storm generated by their one and only first smartphone - Oneplus One. With 3GBs of RAM, 64 Gb internal memory and full fledged support from the Custom Android Builder - Cyanogenmod, at only $349 created a disrupt in the market starting with the big leagues such as Iphone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5.

With the invite system also in place (later explained by Pete Lou, to save themselves if the phone gets shacked, loss would be less) people were too excited for the device that the company had to launch the device in India and European countries where it wasn't previously launched.

Oneplus has opted a new strategy of launching their second product by creating a buzz in the market about the specification of the latter once a week. Till date, we are confirmed of the following Specs -

  • USB Type-C charging port
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Dual sim
  • 13 MP Camera with Laser Autofocus - f/2.0 (Credits - MKBHD, Photos down below)
  • Oneplus Build Oxygen OS (Probably 2.0)

  • The company has confirmed the return of the Invite System, but with a better and a faster functionality. The Chinese Manufacturer has much under their sleeves right now which is why, details of the specs of the device is revealed. The launch is also being done on various $1 Oneplus Casrdboard based on Google's Cardboard V2.0. Pete Lou - CEO has also mentioned that despite of these high end specs, the price will be under $450 which is a competition in another league of prices but with the same of that of Samsung and LG

Oneplus 2, will be launched on July 27th (28th 8:30 Am for Indian Citizens). With the revelation of this much, what will be shown on the launch day is yet Unknown. Stay HYPE - D!
